Love Break Me Down

Mark me with Your grace
Shape me in Your wisdom
Place in me a heart
Of mercy
Open up my eyes
Let me see Your glory
Lead me to the place
You want me

Love, break me now
Strip me down
May Your beauty
Deep inside of me resound
Through me be found
Come break me now

Guide me in Your truth
Mold me in Your nature
Birth in me a hope
To hold on
Show me how to wait
Teach me how to listen
Be in me the strength
To let go

Break me now...

Love, hear my plea
Rescue me, bring Your peace
I have come to You on bended knee
I'm desperate for Your breath in me
Your ears to hear, Your eyes to see
Set me free, come set me free

Like rain flowing over me...

Dear Letter.

I'll let you in on a secret about me, I tend to write letters to inanimate objects, or places, or people. If I am frustrated or feel like I have something to say, I'll write these little letters in my head. I will probably share many of these letters on this blog. Let me begin with one from last night.

Dear Fairmont Hotel (and the bride who rented the ballroom for the night),
why are you the cause of such exhaustion? I find you to be so unorganized and frustrating. thank to you (and I speak mainly to you, princess bride), we worked for hours more then we should of. Next time, think this through. Oh, and let your yes be yes and your no be no.
Sincerely, Jodi

Sold.

Our house is sold. This home, this beautiful home, will no longer be ours. I must say, I've grown quite attached to this place. It is the longest I've ever found myself situated in one place. 5 years. A long time. This house is associated with many amazing memories. Friendships have been built here, relationships have grown, and a family has bonded. It has been a place of warmth and welcome to many. Countless people have joined us under this roof, taking part in laughter and fun experiences. I will miss this house, but I know that we will find somewhere better.

Petals Fade.

This past year has truly been about discovering who I am, and about me being confident in myself. It hasn't been an easy journey, but it has been a life-changing process. Here are a few things I have learnt about myself:

-I hate disappointment. I really dislike when things don't work out. This year has help many disappointing things, and my challenge has been to handle disappointment the right way.
-I like to know a tentative plan of what is going on, as this helps to disallow stress from settling. If I'm unsure of what's going on, I have a tendency to think about it too much, therefore creating stress and anxiety. This isn't always the case, but it can be when I really want something to work out.
-I still struggle with jealousy and comparison, but it isn't nearly as bad as it once was. I'm beginning to see myself as..... me.... and not as someone else.
-I have so much more to learn. I'm still young, and need to slow down the growing up process. I look so far forward into the future, with hardly a glance back. I need to be comfortable with the NOW and not be so entirely focused on the future.
